Over the years my work has become a crossroads to
an
esthetic embellishment, sensuality, death,
and enhancement of life. I explore
the interplay between anthropomorphic forms, corporality,
fragmented memories, and the social; but as multiplicities defined “by
the outside: by the abstract line, the line of flight or
deterritorialization according to which they change in nature and
connect with other multiplicities” (Deleuze and Guattari, 2000).
This
body of work evokes successive singularities, which allow me to switch
from fiber installations to poetry, from drawing/ painting to performance,
from documentary....
Singularities entail rapture, fragmentation and detachments from the
relationship of homogeneity.
My inspiration as an artist comes from the
connection with the real, abstract modulations, conceptual art, and from
multiple becoming (ocean-organ, a woman-insect, a child-bee, accent,
becoming-women…).
This body of work is influenced by the convergence of cultural studies,
art, philosophy, sociology, gender studies, and literature.
